100 gecs Announce Sophomore Album And Drop ‘Snake Eyes’ EP Featuring Skrillex

It’s been a huge week for iconic duo 100 gecs. Boundary-pushing artists Laura Les and Dylan Brady are ready to jump head first into a new chapter in their flourishing career, finally announcing their highly-anticipated sophomore album, 10,000 gecs. Initially slated for release in early 2022, the unreleased material on 10,000 gecs made for a big part of the duo’s touring set over the past year. Their legions of fans has been eagerly awaiting for an announcement regarding the project’s release date, which has now been confirmed for March 17th, 2023.

Following up on their earlier 2022 single “Doritos & Fritos,” 100 gecs have now just unveiled a 3-track EP by way of Snake Eyes, which serves as a teaser before the full album is unveiled next year. Starting off with “Big Man,” Snake Eyes is a truly explosive addition to 100 gecs’ expansive discography. The introductory song combines grungy vocals and distorted guitar leads, making for a nerve-wracking sonic ride that is bound to resonate with 100 gecs’ audience.

“Torture Me” featuring production contributions from Skrillex, and is a nicely curated combination of both artists’ respective sounds–Laura Les’ pitched vocal nicely complements Skrillex’s uplifting melodies before otherworldly growls and eerie synths take over for a series of futuristic-sounding drops. “Runaway”  concludes the project with its nostalgic and heavenly intro making way for a drawn-out and bass-driven chorus section.

Short yet sweet, Snake Eyes nicely puts 100 gecs’ forward-thinking artistic style on display with three expertly curated tracks, serving as the perfect teaser for 10,000 gecs next year. Check it out below and pre-save the album here.
