Alex Lustig Unites With Sølv For Tranquil Single “Fade” Off Forthcoming Album
Marking his first single of the year, versatile tastemaker Alex Lustig has returned with “Fade,” joining forces with London singer Sølv. Part of his forthcoming album Fate (B-Sides), “Fade” masterfully puts Alex Lustig’s personal and professional development on display, making for yet another gem within his lengthy and ethereal discography. Fate (B-Sides), slated for release later this year, will mark the follow-up to 2022’s full-length debut Fate, exploring a more upbeat spin on Alex Lustig’s ambient and tranquil sounds.
“Fade” is filled with warm basslines, warm synth chords and organic percussion, while Sølv’s vocal lines effortlessly weave in and out of Alex Lustig’s mesmerizing instrumental. The multi-talented artist initially started listening to ambient music as a means to soothe his anxiety, and his affinity with the sound is smoothly showcased on “Fade.”
"I love warm analog pads. My goal is to always add depth to whatever sound I'm trying to create, to get lost in that world. 'Fade' is an introspective glimpse into the insecurities of a relationship and the way love makes you vulnerable," Alex shares about the track. "It encompasses the duality of fear and faith, two polar opposites which are both experienced simultaneously when you open your heart."
On top of “Fade,” Alex Lustig just announced a number of spring North American tour dates, hitting Montreal, Los Angeles, New York and more.
