BNYX, 40 & Grant Lapointe Co-Produce On Drake & SZA’s “Slime You Out” Single
It’s yet another massive moment for BNYX, who has just teamed up with Grant Lapointe, among others, to co-produce Drake’s latest single “Slime You Out” featuring SZA.
Drake’s first collaboration with SZA, who is still buzzing off the release of her sophomore studio record SOS late last year, marks the first teaser from his forthcoming album, For All The Dogs. While For All The Dogs is slated for release on October 6th, “Slime You Out” makes for a stunning first taste with its R&B-tinged melodies and vivid storytelling.
BNYX’s relationship with Drake and his OVO Sound imprint is continuing to blossom with “Slime You Out.” The Philadelphia-based producer co-produced on Drake’s “Search & Rescue” single earlier this year, and went on to land on Travis Scott and Drake’s single “MELTDOWN” off UTOPIA with an April Fools sample from 2022. In the meantime, he has also worked alongside the likes of Teezo Touchdown, Lil Tecca, Quavo and many more.
One of Grant Lapointe's first major placements came last year when he contributed to BROCKHAMPTON’s final album, TM. After connecting with band member Kiko in Los Angeles in 2022, he was enlisted to play the piano and synthesizers on four songs off TM. A pianist with a classical background, he started his musical journey at the tender age of three and ventured into music production three years ago, fueled by his deep appreciation for jazz, neo-soul, and R&B. During that time in quarantine, he started making samples and meeting people online through Discord. One of them happened to be BNYX–and the rest is history.
“Slime You Out” was produced by BNYX, 40, Grant Lapointe, D10 and Noel Cadastre.
