Harris Cole Enlists Juliana Chahayed, Rob Araujo And Danny Dwyer For ‘Always Less’ EP
Having just added the latest piece to his extensive discography, Harris Cole remains in the forefront as an innovator and truly multi-faceted artist. From a 2016 instrumental that caught fire on TikTok, to his extremely successful foray into NFTs a year ago and to his recent viral hit on Twitter by way of an Ice Spice flip, Harris Cole has always had an unmatched ability to grab his ever-growing audience’s attention.
A little less than a year after his collaborative EP Sirens with fellow artist Somni, Harris Cole has now returned with his latest body of work in the form of Always Less. While the talented artist has become known for his soothing instrumentals and off-kilter grooves, Always Less finds him lean a little heavier on the vocal talents of his guests to embellish his productions, resulting in a sequence of tracks that is as captivating as it is heartfelt.
“Look Fast” kicks off the EP, driven by an assortment of woozy synths, warm guitar melodies and groovy drum work, before fading into a mesmerizing, ambient section that leads the way toward the latter half. Previously released single “Again” features vocals form beloved artist Juliana Chahayed, who effortlessly delivers an intimate performance over Harris Cole’s mellow instrumental.
“Day Late” alongside Rob Araujo continues the sonic journey by juxtaposing warm synth work with mind-bending organic instrumentation, while Danny Dwyer’s soothing singing in “Distractions” perfectly complements Harris Cole’s emotional piano progressions, resulting in a short-but-sweet ballad. “Crashing” completes the tracklist by shining the spotlight on Harris Cole’s “Again” instrumental, giving listeners the chance to truly appreciate his minimalistic and intricate production.
