kas Curates Irresistible Bounces With 5-Track EP, ‘a new palette’
Hailing from Canada, kas (also known as Kasim Rizvi) has cemented himself as a dominant force within the beat-making scene with his irresistible productions and bubbly presence on social media.
With his extensive catalog dating back to 2018, he has collaborated with the likes of bsterthegawd, venexxi, lvusm, pandi, enuar and many more, while also landing on Lucid Monday’s LM024 and LM025 compilations with his tracks “Springszn” and “pure protein” respective.
kas is well known for his pastelbounce brand, which stands for hard-hitting 808s, unpredictable grooves and heavenly melodies, all wrapped under a playful and quirky aesthetic. This is exactly what his brand new EP a new palette displays, which is out now independently.
Spanning five tracks in length, a new palette truly showcases kas at his very best. “green” kicks off the tracklist with its soothing vocal beds and mesmerizing melodies, while “purple” keeps the energy going with an assortment of bouncy chords and off-kilter samples. a new palette continues taking listeners on a journey to the clouds with “red,” which is a laid-back combination of vocals and groovy percussion. "gold" makes for an undisputed EP highlight with its minimal production, while “blue” wraps up the sonic journey with hypnotizing melodies and drunk grooves.
