KAYTRANADA & Aminé Unveil Collab Project KAYTRAMINÉ With “4EVA” Feat. Pharell
KAYTRANADA and Aminé are gearing up for something truly massive.
In an engaging teaser that was shared on social media earlier this week, KAYTRANADA and Aminé unveiled the existence of KAYTRAMINÉ, which has now been confirmed as a fresh joint project between the two. Their self-titled album is arriving on all streaming platforms May 12th, while the first taste of it is out now in the form of “4EVA,” featuring contributions from Pharell Williams.
Two undisputed tastemakers, KAYTRANADA and Aminé have been collaborating for almost a decade now. Following Aminé’s bootleg remix of Kaytranada’s 2013 single “At All,” the iconic Haitian producer landed on a number of tracks off Aminé’s 2015 mixtape Calling Brio, before the two crossed paths once again on “Egyptian Lover” off Rejjie Snow’s 2018 album Dear Annie.
“4EVA” makes for a masterful combination of the two artists’ respective styles, nicely blending KAYTRANADA’s groovy beats and smooth chords with Aminé’s playful and iconic vocal performance. Pharell’s subtle yet charismatic vocal contributions further add to the song’s smooth character. “4EVA” makes for a stunning teaser to KAYTRAMINÉ, and judging by its quality, fans are in for a treat next month.
The release of “4EVA” and the announcement of the new project continues fuelling the flame of KAYTRANADA’s dominance, who is gearing up to jump back on tour with The Weeknd a month after the release of KAYTRAMINÉ. Aminé, on the other hand, has been relatively quiet since the release of his 2021 mixtape TWOPOINTFIVE, and is bound to return with a bang following the release of the collaborative project.
