late year Release First Single “sinking @@!” Featuring chromonicci

“sinking @@!” is the first single from the duo late year, the long-awaited collaborative project from producers Dilip and Otxhello.

“sinking @@!” is aptly named––the track moves in and out of focus, sinking into a quiet atmosphere before being brought back to a more audible focus with a heavy beat. The song ends with a nostalgic-sounding string and piano combination––a direct influence of Otxhello, who is known for merging soul and gospel sounds with more electronic elements.

The song features chromonicci, a longtime friend of Lucid Monday. Besides being on 8 of the last 10 Lucid Monday compilations, chromonicci has been continually releasing music in 2020. He wrote, performed, and produced his own EP True Colors in July, and recently released the track “Transitions” with Deffie earlier this month.

21-year-old Dilip (Dilip Venkatesh) released his first tracks on SoundCloud in 2015, a few years after Otxhello (Othello Houston) entered the scene. They have both gone on to produce for some of hip hop’s biggest names including Roddy Rich, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Skies, Lil Tecca, Gucci Mane, tobi lou, and many more.
