late year Release Trailer Announcing New Album Out Jan. 8
The duo late year, comprised of producers Dilip and Otxhello, released an animated trailer to announce the release of their highly-anticipated album on Jan. 8. This project marks the first time Dilip and Otxhello have collaborated together under an official name.
Scored by the duo themselves, the animation shows a featureless character that emerges into another world after opening their bedroom door. Leaving plenty of room open for interpretation, late year create the beginning of a story alongside big, orchestral sounds, similar to the instrumental compositions heard in sci-fi movies.
Dilip and Otxhello have previously produced for Roddy Rich, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Skies, Lil Tecca, Gucci Mane, tobi lou, and many more. The producers are not new to working together, but have taken time over the past year to build off of each other’s personal sounds and styles to make an extremely strong collaborative project.
The trailer follows late year’s first single “sinking @@!“ with chromonicci, released Dec. 10. Watch the trailer to interpret for yourself as to where the late year character is headed.
