Versatile producers, instrumentalists and visionaries Dilip and Otxhello have finally reunited for an exciting, new round of late year music.
Directly following their sophomore project 002, which was released earlier this year to massive acclaim via Lucid Monday, and featured seven intricate songs that nicely expanded the late year universe, Dilip and Otxhello have now returned with “otterbot ±ï›.”
A 3-minute-sonic journey, “otterbot ±ï›” is as unpredictable as it is iconic. Inflicting a feeling of urgency, the single starts off with heavenly melodies that are juxtaposed with eerie bass stabs and atmospheres, before a glitchy break leads into awe-inspiring dance section, filled with buzzing synths and 303 basslines. late year’s bass music sensibilities are ultimately unveiled in the final leg of the track, that unleashes a series of quirky vocal samples and distorted effects.
“otterbot ±ï›” once again puts late year’s unmatched production skills and sonic identity on display in a non-conforming and truly engaging way. The first taste of late year’s third project, “otterbot ±ï›” couldn’t have been a better teaser for the talented duo’s new direction, while it comes alongside their debut music video, directed by Dilip and Otxhello themselves, executively produced by Julius Woods and edited by Kye Popham, who also served as Director of Photography.
