The joint project between multi-faceted musicians and producers Dilip and Otxhello, late year made their debut in 2020 with a bang, sharing “sinking @@!” alongside close collaborator chromonicci, which was featured on their self-titled debut album, and landed them massive acclaim from the production community, as well as support from Spotify’s ‘creamy’ editorial playlist.
Now, late year are ready to embark on their project’s next chapter, sharing multi-layered gem “i have an idea?<“” which precedes their forthcoming sophomore album, slated for release on April 29th.
“i have an idea?<“” nicely takes hints from late year’s vibrant debut album, yet showcases an incredible artistic progression with its non-conventional arrangement and immersive layers. Following a series of immersive drops that keep listeners on their toes all throughout, “i have an idea?<“” smoothly transitions into an ambient outro driven by electric guitars and cinematic atmospheres.
late year’s second album comes right before they embark on tour, supporting quickly, quickly alongside Julia Logue for a series of dates across the West Coast.
