Metro Boomin Announces First Solo Album In Four Years, ‘HEROES & VILLAINS’

Throughout the latter half of the 2010s, Metro Boomin cemented himself as one of the most iconic producers within hip-hop. Contributing to the meteoric rise of acclaimed artists such as 21 Savage and NAV, the 29-year-old producer was able to carve his own lane by way of his atmospheric, minimal trap productions, while collaborating with the likes of Migos, Drake, Future, Post Malone, The Weeknd and many more.

In celebration of his birthday, Metro Boomin has now announced the release of his forthcoming album HEROES & VILLAINS, which marks his first solo effort since 2018’s NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES, a massive record which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The momentous announcement was made through a trailer the Grammy-nominated, Diamond-certified producer shared on social media, which features a luxurious and vintage-sounding production, possibly hinting at a stylistic departure from his trap roots.
