Mr. Carmack Enlists Dilip, AbJo, antonioiswho And Jordan Dennis For New EP, ‘HOMETOWN HEROES’
The year is not nearly finished yet, and Mr. Carmack can definitely say that he’s had an explosive 2022. From his recent EP CHAOS, to his contributions to ZHU’s surprise Musical Chairs Mixtape (Vol. 1), the prodigious producer is fully back in action, and seemingly has a lot more planned throughout the next months.
Mr. Carmack’s latest musical offering is out now in the form of HOMETOWN HEROES, a 5-track EP that showcases the beloved artist at his very best. CHAOS was a solo project, with the exception of close collaborator Promnite’s appearance on “BASSMENT” under his joint alias with Mr. Carmack, Project Paradis. HOMETOWN HEROES, on the other hand, finds Carmack enlisting some of his closest collaborators and friends over four tracks, making for a family effort that is beyond explosive.
“GOD (MUSIC)” kicks off the tracklist in collaboration with Lucid Monday’s very own Dilip, with whom Mr. Carmack crafts a spacious sonic journey over four and a half minutes, that slowly transitions from eerie ambiances into heavenly melodies. “FORTALEZA” alongside AbJo and antoniooswho makes for a stunning combination of sounds and styles with its intimate instrumentation, while Jordan Dennis’ vocal delivery and bars shine on “HOMETOWN HEROES” alongside Mr. Carmack’s groovy production. Finally, “PARANA” is an organic and groovy showcase of production arrangement, seeing Mr. Carmack once again showcase his production prowess.
