olswel Returns With Immersive 11-Track Album, ‘Brain Needle’
Lucid Monday’s very own olswel has finally returned with a brand new project, Brain Needle, which marks his first album since 2019’s So Far. The young talent has cultivated a dedicated following over the past years with his genre-bending productions, while displaying a production style that’s distinctly his. Brain Needle finds him still buzzing from earlier singles “@140pretttty” and “Save,” while spanning over 11 immersive tracks.
Lead single “Thorns” nicely showcases the record’s vibrant sound, driven by hard-hitting 808s and bubbly melodies over an ever-evolving arrangement. Tracks such as “Monster,” “Waow” and “Melodie” proudly put olswel’s futuristic style on display, while more laid-back cuts such as “2009” and “Kiss” put the producer’s more experimental sensibilities on display. 26 minutes of pure olswel bliss, Brain Needle is an incredible body of work, making us even more excited to hear what else olswel has in store for us this year.
