Pi’erre Bourne Combines Past And Present With Fresh ‘Grails’ EP

Ahead of his debut Coachella performance, Pi’erre Bourne just returned with his latest project, combining past and present on Grails.

Arguably a generation talent, Pi’erre Bourne hit it big throughout the late 2010s by helping pioneer Playboi Carti’s influential sound as one of the main creative minds behind the rapper’s Die Lit album, as well as his 2017 self-titled breakout project.

On top of collaborations with the likes of Drake, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert and many more, Pi’erre Bourne has crafted an expansive and stunning solo discography over the past years, with his skills behind the mic being as impressive as his ability to craft multi-layered and irresistible beats.

Grails makes for the official followup to Pi’erre Bourne’s 2022 album Good Movie, which included a spectacular 23 tracks and features from Young Nudy and Don Toliver. Grails is an undisputed treat for both old and new fans, with half of its songs calling back to Pi’erre Bourne’s early career. “Honeyberry 2,” which was officially released earlier this year, dates back to 2017. Similarly, “IG” was previewed back in 2018 as one of the tracks on The Life of Pi'erre 4, but ended up not being included in the tracklist.

Grails marks yet another display of Pi’erre Bourne’s futuristic sound. From playful yet hypnotic melodies and hard-hitting 808 samples to infectious vocal performances, Grails showcases Pi’erre Bourne at his very best.
