Purple Posse Unveil Massive ‘Nightmare On Posse Street’ Album
Home to iconic artists such as SOUDIERE, DJ SMOKEY and DJ YUNG VAMP, PURPLE POSSE has been a leading force within phonk since the mid 2010s, consistently chiming out fierce singles and mixtapes, while leading the movement to global dominance.
Following 2021’s Sub Zero, the group has now finally unveiled its latest collaborative effort with Nightmare On Posse Street. PURPLE POSSE’s 14th collective album, Nightmare On Posse Street spans 17 tracks in length and is presented by DJ SMOKEY.
As expected from PURPLE POSSE, Nightmare On Posse Street is as hard-hitting as it is mesmerizing, while boasting the timeless, authentic phonk sound from start to finish.
SOUDIERE is heavily featured on the tape, collaborating with Aseri and DJ SMOKEY on “EYEZ CLOSED” and “BLACKIN OUT” respectively, while landing on two tracks with BACKWHEN. BACKWHEN, who is well known for bridging the gap between wave and phonk contributes another two solo tracks to the tape as well, which makes for undisputed highlights.
