quickly, quickly Shares New Single “Satellite” Ahead Of New EP & Tour With Quadeca

It’s hard to believe quickly, quickly’s debut album, The Long And Short Of It, was released almost two years ago. Spanning 11 tracks in length, it saw the Oregon artist display incredible maturity and progression, pivoting from lofi-infused beats to a dreamlike and indie sound that paid off big time.

Now, quickly, quickly is gearing up to embark on yet another exciting creative journey with the announcement of his forthcoming EP, Easy Listening, out May 26th via iconic label Ghostly International.

“Satellite” makes for the first taste of quickly, quickly’s new project, which was created in his basement studio with almost all instruments performed by himself. This personal and intimate creative process is beautifully reflected in the music, which is retro-leaning and soothing, filled with intricate synth lines, groovy drums and soft vocals. As quickly, quickly explains about the song:

"‘Satellite’ is a love letter to.. satellites. To be totally honest I don’t know what a satellite quite does, but the satellite in my head gives power to every electronic and can help find lost items. Perhaps it’s a love letter to technology, but I don’t love technology. Might just be a catchy song!”

Alongside the release of “Satellite” and the announcement of Easy Listening, quickly, quickly also announced a massive tour in support of Quadeca. Kicking off May 30th in Seattle, The QQQ Tour makes for Quadeca’s first headline tour, and follows his latest album I Didn’t Mean To Hurt You, which was released late last year.
