quickly, quickly took the entire scene by surprise last month when he debuted “Feel,” an uplifting indie-pop gem that saw him showcase his own vocals for the very first time. The pioneer’s return with “Feel,” which coincided with the announcement of his signing to Ghostly International, signified something massive on the horizon, which has now been finally unveiled. quickly, quickly is releasing a new album, titled The Long And Short Of It, on August 20th this year, and has just dropped yet another single from the project, titled “Everything Is Different (To Me).“
Coming alongside a stunning music video directed by Lucid Monday friend Jak Bannon, “Everything Is Different (To Me)” further showcases quickly, quickly’s new artistic shift into more organic and indie-inspired sounds, inducing a nostalgic yet peaceful feeling. The 4-and-a-half minute duration of the single allows its arrangement to evolve and progress in an impressive way, starting off with smooth vocals and dusty drums, before evolving into a cataclysm of emotional instrumental layers and vocal harmonies.
