Skrillex Teams Up With Palestinian Singer Nai Barghouti For “Xena”

The rollout for Skrillex’s forthcoming double album is continuing to keep us on our toes, as the pioneering producer just unveiled yet another single with “Xena.” His 5th single of the year, “Xena” features vocals from Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, and will most likely be featured in a joint project alongside Skrillex’s heavier releases, such as “Rumble” and “Leave Me Like This.

Softer and more radio-friendly singles like “Real Spring” with Bladee and “Way Back” with PinkPantheress and Trippie Redd will most likely land on the other side of the album (or a separate project altogether), alongside what appears to be a collaboration with Anthony Green and prentiss that Skrillex just started teasing.

“Xena” has been making appearances in Skrillex’s sets since 2017, having become one of his most hotly-anticipated IDs in the meantime. Diehard fans are elated to finally see it released officially, with Nai Barghouti’s vocal contributions adding a lot of character and flavor to its tribal and ethnic sonics. Transporting listeners to another world with intricate vocal samples and immersive atmospheres, “Xena” truly makes for yet another stunning showcase of Skrillex’s production mastery.
