Skrillex Unveils Playful Collaboration With Bladee, “Real Spring”

A little over a week after he united with Bobby Raps for the ethereal, bass house anthem “Leave Me Like This,” Skrillex has dropped yet another impressive collaboration, this time teaming up with Bladee on “Real Spring.”

Marking his fourth release just this month, the pioneering producer is seemingly holding nothing back throughout the rollout of his anticipated QFF/DGTC project. There is still no confirmation about whether Skrillex’s forthcoming full length effort will be packaged in the form of a double album or two different projects altogether, yet the diversity he’s displayed with his recent releases is nothing short of impressive.

“Real Spring” nicely combines the respective styles of Skrillex and Bladee, as playful melodies and autotuned vocals come together for a carefree and mesmerizing result. Only featuring one, vocal-chop-driven drop, “Real Spring” makes for yet another short-yet-sweet release from Skrillex, who has also been teasing forthcoming collaborations with Missy Elliot, ISOxo, Starrah and more.

“Real Spring” comes shortly after Skrillex was joined by Bladee and Yung Lean for a show in Bangkok’s ONYX club, and was directed, filmed and edited in Japan by Gus Reichwald, Bladee’s brother and one of Drain Gang’s closest visual collaborators.
