The Recording Academy’s 64th Annual Grammy Awards just wrapped up yet another ceremony, with a slew of exciting artists emerging with career-defining awards. While Olivia Rodrigo and Silk Sonic swept lots of the categories, other winners included Kanye West, Rüfüs Du Sol, Black Coffee, Jon Batiste, Baby Keem, Tyler, The Creator and many more. At Lucid Monday, we are all about championing the producers behind the emerging new sounds that are slated to change the game, as well as the talents behind the industry’s greatest hits, so here are our favourite Grammy-winning producers from the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.

D’Mile

Co-produced Silk Sonic’s “Leave The Door Open” alongside Bruno Mars

Launched last year with “Leave The Door Open,” Silk Sonic took over the world with their authentic take on classic soul, funk and R&B sounds. The massive single took the award at four categories this year (Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song).

D’Mile played a monumental role in Silk Sonic’s sound, having co-produced all but one song off their debut An Evening With Silk Sonic. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, D’Mile has been active within the industry for more than 15 years now, with his first major break happening in 2005 with co-productions on Rihanna’s debut Music Of The Sun and Mary J. Blige’s The Breakthrough. Additionally, he has worked with the likes of Ty Dolla $ign, Drake, H.E.R., Ariana Grande, Khalid and many more.

Dan Nigro

Produced the entirety of Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour

Her debut album SOUR and its lead singles “good 4 u” and “drivers license” catapulted Olivia Rodrigo into international stardom, with Dan Nigro playing an integral part in her success. At the 2022 Grammy Awards, “drivers license” took the award for the Best Pop Solo Performance category, SOUR was crowned Best Pop Vocal Album, and Olivia Rodrigo herself Best New Artist.

Dan Nigro produced the entirety of SOUR, as well as co-wrote multiple song off the monumental project. He started his career as the lead singer and guitarist of indie rock band As Tall As Lions, who were active from 2001 till 2010, and has worked with the likes of Conan Gray, Lewis Capaldi, Empress Of, Sky Ferreira and many more.

Frankie Bash

Co-produced Baby Keem’s “Family Ties” featuring Kendrick Lamar alongside Cardo, Outtatown, Roselilah, Deats, Jasper Harris, Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar

“Family Ties” won Best Rap Performance at the 2022 Grammy Awards, with a massive production lineup behind the song’s unique instrumental. One of the lead singles of Baby Keem’s third album The Melodic Blue, “Family Ties” helped solidify him as a mainstay within hip-hop, while it also received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song.

One of the single’s co-producers, Frankie Bash, has cemented himself as one of the most exciting names within the industry, and for a good reason. Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Frankie Bash is known for his diverse beats and collaborations with the likes of Wheezy, Turbo and Bak, as well as artists such as Future, Juice WRLD, Gunna and NAV.

Jay Versace

Co-produced Tyler, The Creator’s “SAFARI” alongside Tyler, The Creator

Tyler, The Creator’s CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST marks his second Grammy win under the Best Rap Album category, following the 2020 win of his album IGOR. Almost exclusively produced by him, the 16-track project features additional production from Jamie xx on “RISE!” and Jay Versace on “SAFARI.”

Over the past 8 years, Jay Versace has had a more than impressive career, going from content creator on Vine to Grammy-winning producer. Having built an audience of more than 3 million followers on the platform before it was shut down, he cultivated his talents in music, starting to make beats in 2018. He quickly built an audience on SoundCloud with his laid-back works, as well as produced for the likes of Westside Gunn, Boldy James, and more.
