With an announcement barely a few hours before the full project was unveiled to the world, Drake just dropped his surprise album Honestly, Nevermind. The celebrated rapper’s 7th studio album, Honestly, Nevermind finds him delving into the sounds of dance and house, with production from some of the genre’s most influential artists. Here are our favorite producers who helped shape the sound of the record.

Alex Lustig

Production credits on “Falling Back,” “Calling My Name,” “Flight’s Booked” and “Overdrive”

Alex Lustig kickstarted his career as a solo artist back in 2016, and has seen massive success with his ethereal brand of melodic beats and soothing atmospheres. He has established himself as one of the scene’s most versatile producers over the years, having worked alongside Gunna, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Machine Gun Kelly, Aminé, Don Toliver and many more.

Black Coffee

Production credits on “Texts Go Green,” “Currents” and “Overdrive”

Black Coffee executively produced Honestly, Nevermind alongside Drake, 40, engineer Noel Cadastre and Oliver El-Khatib, Drake’s manager and OVO co-founder. This is not the first time the South African DJ and producer has worked alongside Drake, as he was featured on “Get It Together” off the rapper’s 2017 mixtape More Life.

RY X

Production credits on “Sticky”

Australian singer, songwriter and producer RY X just released his third album as a solo artist with Blood Moon, while having experienced massive success over the past decade. He has collaborated with influential artists such as ODESZA, Duke Dumont, Diplo, and is also 1/2 of Howling alongside close collaborator Frank Wiedermann of techno duo Âme.

GOVI

Production credits on “Flight’s Booked”

Toronto-based artist GOVI has built an extensive discography as a solo artist that dates all the way back to 2017, filled with deep grooves and immersive atmospheres. His pensive dance sound can be heard on “Flight’s Booked” with co-production from Carnage, Kid Masterpiece, Beau Fox and Alex Lustig. He has been an OVO mainstay for some time now, having also co-produced “Race My Mind” off Certified Lover Boy.
