The wait is officially over, with Kendrick Lamar finally releasing his new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, following his acclaimed 2017 project DAMN. The highly-anticipated project spans 18 tracks in length, featuring contributions from the likes of Sampha, Blxst, Summer Walker, Ghostface Killah and many more, while once again solidifying Kendrick Lamar as one of the brightest artistic minds of his generation. As expected, the production on Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is a true spectacle, with a wide assortment of samples, switches and exciting moments all throughout. Sounwave

One of the producers closest to Kendrick Lamar, Sounwave played a vital role in the creation of the rapper’s previous albums, and his work on Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is undisputed. Landing on the majority of the project’s songs as a co-producer, Sounwave played a huge role in shaping the project’s sound. He is part of TDE’s in-house production team Digi+Phonics, and has also worked with the likes of ScHoolboy Q, J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa and more.

Duval Timothy

Duval Timothy’s artistic output spans from music production, design and photography to painting, sculpture and even cooking. A multidisciplinary artist, he has even put out his own cookbook titled The Groundbut Cookbook alongside Jacob Fodio Todd and Folayemi Brown, filled with fresh and healthy African food recipes. On Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, he lends his production talents, as well as incredible skills as a pianist.

Bēkon

While Bēkon is mostly known for working alongside Kendrick Lamar, having co-produced eight songs off his album DAMN., as well as five off Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, he boasts a large production portfolio with songs alongside the likes of SZA, Eminem, Joji, Big Sean, Rich Brian and many more.

DJ Dahi
