Spotlighting Our Favorite Producers On SoFaygo's ‘Pink Heartz’

Directly following his 5-track EP B4PINK, which dropped earlier this year as a teaser for what was about to come, red-hot talent SoFaygo has finally dropped his debut studio album, Pink Heartz. Initially announced last year, Pink Heartz is a momentous debut effort, and only further cements SoFaygo as a talent to watch. Earlier in 2022, the rapper was spotted in the studio with Pharell Williams; with the legendary producer now appearing once on Pink Heartz alongside Gunna and DJ Khaled on track #13, “Took Off.” With a massive lineup of talented contributors, Pink Heartz is a true stunner. Here are some of our favorite producers who helped shape the boundary-pushing sound of the record.

Bakkwoods

Production credits on “Out,” “Hell Yeah,” “Blitz V2,” “Stay Awake,” “Me Too,” “Another One,” “Slip,” “I’ll Say,” “Price,” “Fasho,” “Greed” and “Marvellous”

One of SoFaygo’s closest producers, Bakkwoods has landed on 12 out of 16 tracks on Pink Heartz, and was a catalyst in shaping the album’s dreamy sound as an executive producer. Bakkwoods has also worked alongside the likes of 6 Dogs and Lil Tecca, while also working on a number of SoFaygo’s biggest collaborations, such as “MP5” with Trippie Redd and “Solid” with Lil Yachty.

Violin Crush

Production credits on "Fasho"

Chinese-Canadian music producer, violinist, pianist and former model Violin Crush has been extensively working with Wondagurl over the past years. She is credited on "Fasho" alongside Bakkwoods, COLDSUMMER, niketaz and LNKmusic, and has co-produced for the likes of JUGGER, Big Daddy Kane, 88GLAM and more.

Trgc

Production credits on “Hell Yeah” and “Marvellous”

Trgc’s forward-thinking production style has been a huge compliant in Yeat’s monumental success. The Atlanta producer has contributed to some of Yeat’s biggest hits, among them “Möney so big” and “Rackz got më,” while also having worked with the likes of Summrs, Lil Yachty and SSG Kobe.

Jenius

Production credits on “Out”

WondaGurl’s wunderkind, Jenius is one of Toronto’s fastest-rising producers right now. At just 21 years old, he has co-produced for A-listers such as Travis Scott, Cordae, Jack Harlow, Kid Cudi, Polo G and many more. He lands on “Out” off Pink Heartz alongside Bakkwoods, Bryant Troy and London Cyr.

COLDSUMMER

Production credits on “Another One,” “Slip,” “I’ll Say” and “Fasho”

COLDSUMMER’s first major placement came earlier this year, when he co-produced “Fall” off B4PINK alongside Bakkwoods. He lands on four tracks off Pink Heartz, while recently collaborating with KAYTRANADA and Jay Trench for “LIES WILL SET YOU FREE” off Lancey Foux’s latest record LIFE IN HELL.

London Cyr

Production credits on “Out,” “Me Too,” “Goin Back” and “Another One”

Hailing from Vancouver, London Cyr signed to Wondagurl’s Wonderchild imprint alongside Jenius and co-produced Travis Scott and Don Toliver’s “Can’t Say” in 2018 with WondaGurl. He has since gone on to work with the likes of 6LACK, Young Thug, Shy Glizzy, NAV, KILLY, and so many more.
