Spotlighting Our Favorite Producers On Stormzy's ‘This Is What I Mean’

Sharing his most intricate and personal album to date, iconic UK artist Stormzy has just unveiled This Is What I Mean. His fourth studio album, the 12-track project follows 2019’s Heavy Is The Head, and finds the South London rapper orchestrate a massive and diverse list of producers and collaborators. PRGRSHN

Serving as the executive producer on This Is What I Mean, PRGRSHN played a huge role in shaping the mature sound of the record. Based on London, PRGRSHN boasts a multi-faceted style, and has worked alongside some of the UK’s brightest talents, among them WSTRN, Tiana Major9 and Wretch 32, as well as SAYGRACE and Aya Nakamura.

Vocalist and producer tendai is gearing up for his big break this year. Signed to Def Jam’s UK division, 0207 Def Jam, the 22-year-old artist lands his first big production credits as one of the executive producers on Stormzy’s This Is What I Mean. He boasts a lengthy catalog of dreamy R&B gems, and is currently working on his debut project.

George Moore

Production credits on “Firebabe”

A classically trained musician in jazz, George Moore has worked alongside a wide variety of names as a producer, keyboardist and musical director, among them Mura Masa, NAO, Clean Bandit, Kwabs, YEBBA and many more. He is credited as a producer and writer on one of lead singles off This Is What I Mean, “Firebabe,” while also playing the bass and piano.

P2J

Nigerian-British producer P2J has been active within the industry for over a decade now, cementing himself as one of the most prominent UK afrobeats producers. He won his first Grammy award for his contributions to Burna Boy’s 2020 album Twice As Tall, which won in the Best Global Music Album category, and has worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Wizkid, Doja Cat, GoldLink and many more.
