Spotlighting Our Favorite Producers On Yung Lean's ‘Stardust’

Directly following his 2020 album Starz, legendary Swedish artist Yung Lean has finally unveiled Stardust, a 12-track mixtape that features a massive lineup of features, as well as contributions from some of his closest producers. Other than two collaborations with Skrillex, Stardust features guest performances from FKA twigs, as well as close collaborators Thaiboy Digital, Bladee and Ecco2k of Drain Gang. Stardust is a truly stellar project from Young Lean, finding him continue to embrace his unique character and experimental sensibilities, something that is strengthened through the work of the project’s producers. Here are our favorites off Stardust.

Woesum

Production credits on “Trip,” “Gold,” “All the things” and “Nobody else”

Hailing from Sweden, Woesum is strongly affiliated with Drain Gang and Yung Lean’s collective Sadboys, and his contributions on Stardust are undisputed. He has worked with Yung Lean extensively, and released his impressive debut album Blue Summer last year, featuring multiple performances from both groups’ members.

Art Dealer

Production credits on “Trip”

A member of Playboi Carti’s Opium label, Korean producer, designer and editor Art Dealer has been the rapper’s creative director since his massive, self-titled debut project in 2017. He produced multiple songs off Playboi Carti’s Whole Lotta Red album, and has also worked with the likes of Ken Karl$on, Keith Ape, Okasian and more.

Whitearmor

Production credits on “Gold” and “All the things”

Whitearmor has been producing with Yung Lean since the very start, being credited no multiple songs on his debut, 2013 mixtape Unknown Death 2002, while executively producing his Poison Ivy and Starz projects. He is a member of Drain Gang alongside Bladee, Ecco2k, Thaiboy Digital and Yung Sherman, and has been producing for over 10 years now.

Lusi

Production credits on “Letting it all go”

While Lusi is most notably known for his work with Bladee, having co-produced the entirety of his 2018 Icedancer project alongside Australian producer Rip. Additionally, he has landed some of his co-productions on projects from the likes of Future & Lil Uzi Vert, Trippie Redd and Chris Travis.
