Spotlighting Our Favorite Remixes On PinkPantheress' 'to hell with it'
Undoubtedly one of the most exciting breakout stars of 2021, PinkPantheress is set up for an incredible career ahead of her, after receiving viral fame with a string of songs that blew up on TikTok. Her debut album to hell with it was released in October of last year via Parlophone Records, while she has now returned with a stacked remix project, featuring some of the scene’s most celebrated producers. Thus, here’s a showcase of our favorite new PinkPantheress remixes, as well as the artists who lent their production talents to make them happen.
“Last valentines“ (WondaGurl Remix)
Signed to Cactus Jack and Sony Music Publishing, WondaGurl has established herself as one of the most celebrated producers within the scene, with productions for the likes of Travis Scott, Drake, Rihanna, Pop Smoke, and countless others. With her atmospheric remix of “Last valentines,“ she unleashes warm bass synths and hard-hitting kicks, that nicely contrast PinkPantheress’ lush vocals.
“Passion” (Sam Gellaitry Remix)
Sam Gellaitry signed his latest EP IV, as well as his single “Gullible,” to Parlophone Records, so this new remix comes off as no surprise. As always, the UK-based producer displays his unique production abilities by infusing “Passion” with lively synths, emotional strings and groovy percussion, while we are more than excited to see Sam Gellaitry and PinkPantheress work on more collaborations in the future.
“I must apologize” (Sango Remix)
Soulection mainstay Sango brings the bounce with his remix of “I must apologize,” proving his place as one of the longest-standing producers within the scene. On top of a lengthy catalog, that dates back to 10 years ago, Sango has produced for the likes of Frank Ocean, Bryson Tiller, Smino, Denzel Curry and more.
“Noticed I cried” (Flume Remix)
Within the first days of 2022, Flume was already teasing new material, so there’s no doubt that the Grammy-winning producer is gearing up for an exciting year. His remix of PinkPantheress' “Noticed I cried” brings forth his best qualities, sampling just a small vocal sample from the original and layering it with fast-paced drums and glitchy synth work.
“All my friends know” (FKJ Remix)
Multi-instrumentalist and producer FKJ masterfully turns “All my friends know” into a smooth R&B vibe, utilizing avant-garde sound design and groovy drums. Over the past 10 years, FKJ’s brand of smooth soul, jazz, indie and electronic music has taken him around the world, as well as resulted in collaborations with the likes of Masego and Tom Misch.
