Spotlighting Our Favorite Up-And-Coming Women In Music Production

The music industry is a predominantly male-dominated space - especially the world of music production - so it’s of utmost importance to cherish women within the space, and provide them with equal opportunities to succeed. As we're celebrating International Women's Day, we wanted to showcase our favorite up-and-coming female producers who are making waves right now, and are bound to contribute a lot to their respective scenes over the coming years.

India Got Them Beats

India Got Them Beats got her first placement with YoungBoy Never Broke Again back when she was 15, after being discovered by an A&R through her type beat videos on YouTube. Following the success of that track,  NBA YoungBoy’s 2018 single “Realer,” India signed with management company Hallwood, home to the likes of Murda Beatz, Bipolar Sunshine and many more. She has produced for the likes of Meechy Baby, Lil Poppa, Quando Rondo, Yungeen Ace and more.

Sara Kawai

A classically trained harpist since the young age of 8, Sara Kawai has built an extraordinary career for herself within hip-hop, having performed live with the likes of Jelani Aryeh, Blxst, Serena Isioma and Guapdad 4000, as well as collaborated on music with Roddy Ricch, Pink Sweat$, Zacari and more. With a real demand for her art, and the unmatched skills to back it up, there’s no doubt that Sara Kawai isn’t going anywhere soon.

99makaveli

99makaveli truly blew up over the course of 2021, going from unknown producer to bubbling superstar. She has currently amassed over 30k followers on TikTok, while spending a lot of last year streaming on Twitch and building her audience by the day. We’re more than convinced that 2022 will mark her first of many major placements, which will greatly contribute towards her upwards trajectory.

Ester Na

Hailing from Vienna, Austria and based in LA, Ester Na is an acclaimed producer and keyboardist, who has co-written music alongside the likes of Nikki Flores and 3LAU, as well as K-Pop mainstays EXO and NCT 127. When she’s not writing hits or working on movie soundtracks, she is creating her own diverse and multi-layered music that she releases independently.

ceebeats

Recently signed to Warner Chappell, Ceebeaats is destined to take over UK rap production at only 18 years old. Having co-produced Digga D’s viral hit “Woi,” which has received more than 50 million streams on Spotify to date, Ceebeaats is well on the way towards establishing herself as a dominant producer within the scene.
