“Sunrise/Existence” - Otxhello
Combining soul and gospel music with electronic sounds to create unique sonic aesthetic, Otxhello is undoubtedly one of the most talented artists within the beat-making scene. Channeling his music background of playing church drums growing up, Otxhello was uploading his first tracks to SoundCloud by around 2013, and has went on to collaborate with numerous Lucid Monday friends, including Dilip, Yugi Boi, inimicvs, chromonicci and hxns, on top of being featured on POWER BLACK!, a Juneteenth compilation with all proceeds donated to NAACPLDF earlier this year.
Having produced for the likes of Lil Tecca, Lil Skies, Gucci Mane, Yung Bans, BlocBoy JB and many more, Otxhello is undoubtedly a man of many talents. Now, he is back with his first original music this year, dropping two stunning new tracks with “Sunrise/Existence.” Filled with massive brass harmonies, slick bright sound design and huge 808s, “Sunrise” definitely is one of the most unique tracks we’ve heard this year. “Existence” on the other hand, is an ambient yet dynamic sonic journey, filled with soothing atmospheres before exploding into an orchestral outro section.
