The Exciting New Cast Of Skrillex’s Collaborators

With two albums out already, and more than a handful of boundary-pushing performances, such as his 5-hour solo performance at Red Rocks, Skrillex is bursting through 2023 with no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Alongside his Coachella-closing B2B2B with Fred again.. and Four Tet, Skrillex announced another two albums slated for release in 2023, following Quest For Fire and Don’t Get Too Close. Codenamed SKRLX and CONTRA for now, the iconic producer’s forthcoming projects will feature an obscure and unexpected, yet immensely talented cast of collaborators, who have slowly been revealed alongside numerous IDs that have been making the rounds on Reddit forums and YouTube compilations.

In spite of his dozens of high-profile collaborators, Skrillex has always kept an ear to the underground throughout his monumental career, and his new albums are sure to shine the spotlight on some of the industry’s most powerful trailblazers.

One of the most exciting producers who has been showing up more and more within Skrillex’s inner circle has been ISOxo. The young artist has become notorious for his futuristic blend of trap and bass music, having taken over the US market alongside fellow talent Knock2 while boasting collaborators with titans such as RL Grime and G Jones.

Skrillex and ISOxo are rumored to have at least two IDs in the works, one of which went off during their surprise B2B at OMFG! NYE 2023 in San Diego. In February, ISOxo was also credited as a mastering engineer on Skrillex’s single “Good Space” alongside Starrah.

One of the young producers currently in London with Skrillex is Sam Gellaitry, who cemented himself as one of SoundCloud’s brightest voices throughout the late 2010s, and then went on to incorporate his own vocals through his IV and VF VOL II projects after signing with Parlophone. Though no IDs between him and Skrillex have surfaced yet, their budding relationship has been bubbling up for some time now, as they threw a surprise B2B show in Edinburgh late last year.

Hamdi, who has also cemented himself as one of bass music’s rising stars, is slated to appear on one of Skrillex’s forthcoming albums. His viral anthem “Skanka” was the only non-album track Skrillex performed during his Quest For Fire Basement Set, while their collaboration with TAICHU has been going off at Skrillex’s shows, most notably at Coachella.

Skrillex has also been working with a unique slate of artists from Brazil and beyond, among them São Paulo producer RHR, superstar Ludmilla, Me Jesmay, Miss Lafamilia, Jyoty, Thalia Abdon, Zeina and many more.

Skrillex is currently in London working on his next album, and just revealed that he’s “going to be dropping a string of singles in the next coming weeks.” One of them will apparently be “Fine Day” alongside Dog Blood collaborator Boys Noize, which samples the 1992 classic from Opus III, “It’s a Fine Day.”
