The Kount And Kaelin Ellis Unite For Addicting Collaborative Project ‘Vignette’
In an effort that has reportedly been two years in the making, beloved artists, producers and multi-instrumentalists The Kount and Kaelin Ellis have at last unveiled their collaborative effort, Vignette.
Both mighty creators and visionaries in their own right, The Kount and Kaelin Ellis couldn’t have blended their respective styles better on Vignette. Their knack for showcasing their process on social media in captivating ways has resulted in large acclaim from the community, while their affinity with numerous instruments makes for a unique melting pot of sound throughout Vignette.
The project spans 13 tracks and 17 minutes in length, a short-yet-sweet auditory result that touches on a plethora of styles while incorporating groovy percussion elements and mind-bending melodies. Previously released singles “END OF AN ERA” and “CAFFEINE” are still as potent as ever, while tracks such as “FOOLS” and “CIRCUS” get experimental and wild.
Vignette has a lot more to offer, however “STAR” takes listeners on a dreamy journey with its smooth vocals, “ASRM” impresses with its minimal melodies and potent grooves, “DOMINOES” features washed-out melodies and wonky drum patterns, and “CONTINUE” is an effortless listen with its funky guitars and quirky synths.
Vignette perfectly incorporates The Kount and Kaelin Ellis’ respective sounds into a collection of tracks that wears its influences on its sleeve, while not shying away from making innovative decisions and look toward the future.
To celebrate this massive moment, the two producers have released a free drum kit with 40 of the sounds that were used to make Vignette, which is available for download here.
